Saint Peter or São Pedro as the Portuguese say, is a saint very popular in the north region and in Póvoa de Varzim you can celebrate from 25th June to 3th July.
Everyone is welcome and you don’t need any reservations. The 28th and the 29th are the days where the saint is celebrated, but in the other days you can participate in many activities like tennis table, expositions, army demonstrations, concerts live, processions, football game, etc…
There are activities for all the ages and the population is very happy to celebrate the last saint of the 3 popular saints. The program is full of varieties and if you are near by don’t miss it, there is also fireworks in the evening.
Saint Peter is the saint for the fisherman and also the Patron of the city Póvoa de Varzim, everyone is very proud and the full city is decorated, is also a public holiday and everyone celebrate the 29th June.
